Southeast Community Arts and Business Festival 2024: Celebrating Three Years of Unity and Empowerment in Ward 8
Washington, D.C., August 22, 2024 – ART is Positive Empowerment is thrilled to announce the return of the Southeast Community Arts and Business Festival (SECAB) for its third year, bringing together the vibrant and diverse community of Ward 8. This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 12 PM to 6 PM at the Anacostia Arts Center, located at 1231 Marion Barry Avenue SE.
SECAB 2024 promises to be a dynamic celebration of local culture, creativity, and commerce, featuring a rich lineup of activities that include live music, fashion shows, workshops, arts showcases, and a local vendor market. This annual event is a testament to the resilience and talent within the Ward 8 community, providing a platform for artists, entrepreneurs, and community members to connect, collaborate, and showcase their work.

Our goal is to continue fostering a sense of unity and empowerment in our community.”
In addition to the diverse array of artistic and business-oriented activities, SECAB 2024 will also feature health and wellness workshops, craft stations, and street art, making it an inclusive event for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in free workshops, explore local businesses, and enjoy a full day of entertainment.
